6 March 2014 – Deja Vu

Didn’t sleep well at all last night…gunfire broke out yet again in the city despite everyone claiming that things are calm here. It started in the same place as last time, albeit earlier in the day, and then by the time 9 pm rolled around, things were getting hot and heavy…lots of tracer rounds, and this time, lots of shots much closer to us than last. I finally laid my head down to sleep at about one when I couldn’t keep my eyes open…the adrenaline was still rushing through me. There were a few more over last few hours, again very close, and so the little sleep I got was broken and not particularly refreshing. Welcome back to Juba!

That’s it for today

About lbidal

I am an average woman, of average age, leading an average life...at least on the surface. Sixteen years ago, I chose to spice up the average-ness of my life by putting on combat boots. Some of my blogs reflect my experiences while wearing them. Some blogs are of my passion and hobby, birding and bird photography...and some, well, can't help but blogging about average things living an average life! Enjoy!
