4 March 2014 – Mundane

Well, back to the mundane! What a great trip and a great 4 days of communing with nature.

We arrived back in Juba safe and sound yesterday morning and I got back to the house and hit the ground running.

I finally have a scanner again, so I have over 2 months of work to catch up on! Ugh.

The worst of it is, now is the time I would really like to not have much to do…right now I have this driving need to get my trip onto paper…the more days that separate me from my experiences, the harder it will be to recall.

I tried to get a blog done last night, but there is just so much to put in it for the Safari, that I decided I would have to start again..not sure if I am going to create a whole new blog, or figure out a way to do it from this one. Either way, I am going to at least draft some points so I can get the stories out when it comes time.

Got home to having most of the AC’s not working…living on the third floor with the mercury hitting over 40 degrees Celsius most days…well, let’s just say we are in hell, in more ways than one! 😉

Woot! Checked my donut! Here’s the latest! 67 days left! And I am heading home on 21 March!!

Anyway, I think this last trip will get me through until I get home for a break…then I come back for a month, so that trip will get me through for sure! I am still flying high on having taken the trip of a lifetime…I’m glad I don’t have a bucket list, because that way, when things happen that you don’t expect, it is much more exciting!

That’s it for today…look for my Safari blog when I get it figured out.

About lbidal

I am an average woman, of average age, leading an average life...at least on the surface. Sixteen years ago, I chose to spice up the average-ness of my life by putting on combat boots. Some of my blogs reflect my experiences while wearing them. Some blogs are of my passion and hobby, birding and bird photography...and some, well, can't help but blogging about average things living an average life! Enjoy!
