13 February 2014 – Sparkling Clean

Well, what a start to MY day!

Apparently my infallible alarm system (Bastard) was fallible this morning and I was awakened with a phone call at 7am. I popped out of bed because that’s the latest I have slept in since I arrived here and now I feel like I am rushed to catch up on the time I usually spend getting ready for the day. Add to that the fact that I stayed up as late as I could last night tracking emails…just when I thought it was going to be quiet, I wake up this morning to find out that there was a flurry of activity back in Canada just after I had given up and that required my attention. Sigh, the one night I thought I was off the hook and could get some sleep, turns out it should have been the night I stayed awake.

Then I go to get into my Blog and turns out that the computer that I usually do this on in the office, now, for some reason, doesn’t show my tool bar so I couldn’t do a new post or get into my dashboard etc…I was freaking out! I didn’t realize how important this was to me first thing in the morning!

Okay, so that’s how my day started.

Yesterday, I got my haircut..finally! Now, all things considered, it doesn’t look too bad and it will get me through until I can get home and get it done at my regular place. Here’s a picture of Irene and I after the cut. She did her best and didn’t charge me a whole lot but I doubled the amount anyway because I know that she is sending her money home to help build her mother and son a house to live in. What’s $8 to me in the scheme of things? Nothing really, but for her, it’s a lot of good food and a helping hand. So that made me feel a little better about the day.

Well, no time to tarry this morning. There are guards to be paid, emails to answer, contractors to be dealt with and the girls will be coming soon to start scrubbing down this house…good thing I came over here..this place was a pigsty..it’s really starting to sparkle now, thanks to these ladies….would love to pack them up and take them to my place to clean it!

That’s it for today

About lbidal

I am an average woman, of average age, leading an average life...at least on the surface. Sixteen years ago, I chose to spice up the average-ness of my life by putting on combat boots. Some of my blogs reflect my experiences while wearing them. Some blogs are of my passion and hobby, birding and bird photography...and some, well, can't help but blogging about average things living an average life! Enjoy!
